The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State has named Major General Cecil Esekaigbe, a resigned official of the Nigerian Army, as Director-General (DG) of its Campaign Council for the Sept. 19 Governorship political race.
The party, in a statement made available to Igbere TV on Wednesday, in Benin City, also named a former Edo deputy governor Chief Lucky Imasuen, as deputy DG, and former lawmaker Pally Iriase as secretary.
Former Rep member Samson Osagie was named Edo South Coordinator with Dr. Christopher Adesotu as deputy; Patrick Ikhariale as Edo Central coordinator with Larry Aghedo as deputy; and Hon. Stanley Okpo Odidi as Edo North coordinator with Hon. Anselm Agbabi as deputy.
A statement sent to us via mail issued by Mr. John Mayaki, Communications Director of the Campaign Council, said the committee would be inaugurated today at the Campaign Office of the party’s candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, at noon.
